Teresa Danks, an elementary school teacher from Tulsa, has gone viral after she was photographed panhandling for school supplies on the side of the street.
Like most teachers, Danks was spending thousands of her own money to buy basic supplies for the school year, so she decided to do something extreme and ask complete strangers for donations.
A photo of Danks holding a sign that read "Teacher needs school supplies! Anything helps" was posted to Facebook and has been shared thousands of times, according to Fox News.- The Chron
