Recall Notice: Hamburger, Hot Dog Buns Could Contain Hard Pieces of Plastic

Sure, hot dogs might not be very nutritious, but the buns can kill you. Flowers Foods has launched a massive recall of hot dog and hamburger buns, which may have been contaminated with pieces of plastic. The plastic could pose a choking hazard, the company says. The buns in question are sold throughout the U.S. under a variety of product names, including Nathan's, Home Pride, Kroeger's, Market Pantry, Nature's Own, Piggly Wiggly and Wonder. Flowers officials say the buns should not be eaten; they should be thrown away or returned for a refund. For a complete list of brand names, Flowers has set up a hotline, which is available weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. EST: 1-866-245-8921. Have you ever eaten something, only to find out later it had been recalled?
