Paramore’s “Misery Business” Hits 6x Platinum
The RIAA has announced that Paramore’s “Misery Business” has now sold six million certified copies. The song was the band’s breakout single and was certified gold for half a million sales less than a year after it was released, and it keeps selling.
That might not be a happy thing for Hayley Williams, who wrote in a blog in 2015 that “Misery Business is not a set of lyrics that I relate to as a 26-year-old woman,” pointing out that the song was written when she was 17.
The band removed the song from their live sets, but Williams did perform it as the special guest of Billie Eilish at Coachella earlier this year for the first time since 2018.

How to Survive a Music Festival with Your Family
A writer for Loudwire.com was at this year's Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona, Florida.
That's the show where several acts were unable to perform due to severe weather, and the Foo Fighters had to cancel after Taylor Hawkins died.
After her experience, she put together a list of 10 tips for surviving a music festival with your family. Here they are:
1. Wear comfortable walking shoes. You're probably going to want to check everything out when you get there. And you'll also spend a lot of time walking from stage to stage.
2. Download the festival app if they have one. You'll get things like a map of the grounds, updated set times, and weather updates . . . which really came in handy at this year's Rockville.
3. Bring ponchos and be prepared for rain. This one's self-explanatory.
