Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the set of the Alec Baldwin movie "Rust," has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter. That's the maximum she could have received.
Prior to her sentencing, prosecutors said that Gutierrez-Reed showed NO REMORSE for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during recorded phone conversations from jail.
She allegedly called the jurors who convicted her "idiots" and "[A-holes]." She also said witnesses lied, and the judge paid off.
It's still not clear how live rounds ended up on the "Rust" set. Gutierrez-Reed was offered a plea deal if she admitted she brought them, but she turned it down. Her father blames the ammunition supplier and the prop master.
Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial is scheduled to begin in July. He could also get 18 months.
