Cage The Elephant Releases New Single "Metaverse"

Gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated new album "Neon Pill" on May 17th, Cage the Elephant has released another song from the upcoming album. The band has already dropped “Good Time,” “Out Loud” and “Neon Pill,” which earned them their 11th number one spot on the Billboard Alternative Chart, by the way. Now, Cage the Elephant is giving fans another taste of the project with their latest single, “Metaverse.” In support of the album, the boys will kick off a 45-date tour across North American starting June 20th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cage has amassed several gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications, as well as over five billion streams, two GRAMMY awards, and ten number-one records on alternative radio.

Pearl Jam Debuts "Dark Matter" At Kick-Off Tour Stop.

Pearl Jam kicked off their highly anticipated 2024 world tour in Vancouver on Saturday, treating fans to a 25-song set that featured nine tracks from their recently released 12th studio album, "Dark Matter." The band played several songs from the new record for the first time, including early classics like "Alive," "Black," and "Daughter," as well as deeper cuts like "Leatherman" at the request of drummer Matt Cameron, along with covers of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World and Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down." The tour will continue around North America for the rest of May before heading to Europe and the UK, with stops in Manchester, London, and Dublin. As for how long frontman Eddie Vedder plans to keep going, he says, “The older you get the better you are at living in the present,” adding, “The goal is to keep making music.

Nita Strauss Weds in "Heavy Metal Dream Wedding"

Nita Strauss, the renowned rock guitarist, recently tied the knot with her manager, Josh Villalta, in a lavish wedding ceremony at The Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles. The couple was surrounded by 120 guests, including celebs she tours with, like Alice Cooper and Demi Lovato, as well as retired WWE star Mick Foley, who officiated the wedding. In what was considered a "dark, romantic, heavy metal dream wedding" the couple found a planner to bring their goth-glam "Haute Dracula" theme to life. Strauss and Villalta, who first met in 2011, had been together for nine years before Villalta proposed onstage at the Whiskey A Go Go club during their album release show last July.

The Lovers & Friends Festival Was Canceled Saturday Due to Severe Weather 

 

 

The Lovers & Friends Festival should have rocked Las Vegas on Saturday, but it got canceled at the last minute due to the threat of severe weather, including winds of more than 60 miles per hour.

 

 

The bill SHOULD have included Usher, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Mary J. Blige, Nas, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado, Ludacris, Ciara, TLC, M.I.A., Nelly, Timbaland, and tons more.

 

 

Some fans were a little satisfied, though, when Snoop and T-Pain put on an impromptu show at a place called the Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World.
