So I'm stoked beyond belief to be playing Bob Mould. He's a guy who has been a humongous influence on 9 out of the 10 bands that we play.
Dave Grohl even said in retrospect.. he's pretty much been ripping Bob off shamelessly for his entire career... so for those wondering about this legendary figure... allow me to present a brief musical history...
He started out in a band called Husker Du. You might know them for this song...
He then formed Sugar. Who were huge in England when i was a kid in the 90s... Dave Grohl did a song with him on the most recent Foo Fighters album wasting light to acknowledge what a huge influence he was on them here they are playing it live together on Conan and here's his jam star machine... the one I've been playing. It's a sound thats exrememly familiar and reminiscent of a lot of bands we play... and this is the guy who created it... he still does it best... and as a bonus here he is being interviewed on the Henry Rollins show
