A recent survey found that 94 percent of moms admitted to spending more on their child's wardrobe than their own.

According to the poll, a third of mothers would spend over $100 on one item of clothing for their child, knowing that they will soon grow out of it. However, they would only spend a total of $330 per year on clothes for themselves. Almost half (46 percent) of moms feeling guilty about spending money on clothes for themselves.

The survey of 1,000 women aged between 18 and 55 also found that 47 percent of moms set aside the time to shop for their child once a week or more in an attempt to make sure their children are following the latest fashion trends. Over a third (34 percent) were found to spend between $300-$550 on their child per year, with a quarter (25 percent) spending between $550-800.
