A 13-teen-year old's handwritten note that he left on a California mountain top has found its way back to him 40 years later.

Tim Taylor remembers climbing to the peak of Milestone Mountain in Sequoia National Park, a height of 12,785ft, with his Boy Scout troop, tucking a message into a canister and leaving it behind.

And when Larry Wright, 69, and his grandson Skyler, 14, happened upon the rusted canister 20 miles deep in remote terrain, they were thrilled to start a new journey to fulfill the legacy of the mountain.
