2012 was a  big year in music and it looks like 2013 will be even better. The folks at Loudwire.com put together a list of the most anticipated albums, check it out:

10. Motley Crue

Nikki Sixx recently confirmed that the Crue are indeed working on a full-length effort.

9. Device

With Disturbed now on hiatus, frontman David Draiman confirmed that his new band with Filter's Geno Lenardo on guitar, started recording in June.

7.  Pearl Jam

Frontman Eddie Vedder told Rolling Stone magazine that the bands newest album is "half way written." Drummer Matt Cameron also recently said that he was recording his drum parts prior to leaving for a Soundgarden tour in November.

6. Queens of the Stone Age

It's been six years since their last recording, but now expectations are high with the news that Dave Grohl will be playing drums on the entire disc, and Trent Reznor  contributing to at least one song.

5. Judas Priest

Rumor has it since the line up change with K.K. Downing  leaving and  Richie Faulkner joining the band, the new guitarist has given the band new life and they're excited to hit the studio. According to Loudwire, singer Rob Halford said early demos harken back to Priest's classic sound.

4. Alice in Chains

In late 2011 the group was finally able to start in on their next disc after guitarist Jerry Cantrell admitted to suffering from personal injury.

3. Avenged Sevenfold

The band is planning to head into the studio in late January or early February and release the new album in the summer of 2013. Singer M. Shadows recently told Metal Hammer that the disc has a Black Sabbath / Led Zeppelin vibe.

2. Tool

As of late December, the band was reportedly halfway done with writing for their latest album, a task that was started in 2010, but there's still no word on the album's arrival.
